Well 3 days down 177 to go! The start of the 2014-2015 school year has been great. Thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm and support 🙂
Please make sure to make arrangements to join us for Back to School Night this week. During this event teachers will be presenting their goals for the year along with important information regarding classroom expectations. However, this will not be the time to discuss information about your individual children, as there is not enough time during this event. Also, please don’t forget to stop by and visit our Book Fair. This important fundraiser helps to support various school events and resources and most importantly put books into the hands of our students.
The schedule for Back to School Night is as follows:
- Monday July 28 (grades 4th-6th)
- 4th and 5th Grade: 4:30 – 5:30(4th in Aud, 5th in Classrooms)
- 6th Grade: 5:45 – 6:45 (Aud)
- Book Fair: 6:45 – 8:00
- Tuesday July 29 (grades TK-3rd)
- TK, Kinder, & 1st: 4:30 – 5:30
- 5:35 – 5: 45: PTA Meeting
- 5:45 – 6:45: 2nd and 3rd Grades
- 7:00 – 8:00: Book Fair
Pastries with Parents
Another fantastic tradition at McMillin is our Pastries with Parents (formerly known as Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads). Treats will begin at 7:30 am Friday Aug 1. We hope you can join your kids for a great start to the morning and maybe stop by to purchase some books in our Book Fair.
McMillin School Year Kickoff
Finally please join us for our 2nd Annual McMillin School Kickoff at Petco Park with the Padres! Padre Kickoff The game will be a 1:10pm start against the villainous LA Dodgers! Tickets are $20 and include a meal, but must be preordered with our fabulous secretary Denee. Please contact her at denee.felber@cvesd.org for more information.
