Happy final week of the 2nd quarter everyone!
As you can imagine this last week will be full of activities and events for our McMillin students and families and we anticipate having a lot of fun! Also please make sure to mark your calendars, Winter Break starts Dec 22 and ends on Jan. 12. Students return to school on Jan. 13, 2015.
Winter Sing
As is our tradition, students will be showing off their vocal talents this season during our Winter Sing. We encourage you to bring out the family and join the kids in singing some favorite holiday songs. Below is the schedule of performances:
- Dec 16 @ 6 pm: TK & 1st grade
- Dec 17 @ 8:30 am Kinder
- Dec 17 @ 1:30 pm: 4th grade
- Dec 17 @ 2 pm: 2nd grade
- Dec 18 @ 6 pm: 3rd & volunteer 5th and 6th graders
Attendance Assembly
Please join us on Thursday Dec. 18 in celebrating all students who had perfect (zero tardies, absences, or early dismissals). Below is the schedule:
- 8:30-9:00 AM: TK & Kinder Classes
- 9:15-10:15 AM: Fifth and Sixth Grade Classes
- 10:40-11:35 AM: Third and Fourth Grade Classes
- 12:00-1:00 PM: First and Second Grade Classes

Youth Sports
Just a quick update on our youth sport leagues. We’re looking forward to this years group of athletes representing McMillin in Soccer, Basketball and Kickball. It’s not too late to volunteer to be a coach as all teams can use the help. If you’re interested please let us know.
