Many Things Are Happening at McMillin

Fall break will be from September 19th – October 3rd. Students report back October 4th it is NOT a minimum day. Here is a link to the district calendar.

It is amazing how much your children have grown this 1 quarter. It is clearest in TK and Kinder because it is a mind and body growth, but it is evident everywhere in what your children can accomplish now. Spend a few minutes to reflect and notice how far they have come. Learning new things isn’t easy so don’t forget to remind them how proud you are of them.

Parent-Teacher Conference – Sept. 8th-15th

Parent-teacher conferences start this Thursday. Please make sure that you are scheduled for a time with your child’s teachers. All 1st and 6th-grade students will be dismissed at 1:15pm (Kinder 1:00pm). Here are some questions that you can ask your child’s teacher.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 6th:

  • 5th and 6th-grade teachers will hand out Student Council interest forms and information. Extra’s permission slips will be in the office.
  • PTA Board Meeting (4:30-5:30pm)

Wednesday, Sept. 7th

  • District Board Meeting (6:00-9:00pm)

Thursday, Sept. 8th

  • Parent Conferences (Dismissal 1:15)

Friday, Sept. 9th

  • Peaceful Playground Meeting (8:00-8:30)
  • BEAGLE BOLT (8:30-10:00)
  • Parent Conferences (Dismissal 1:15)
  • 5th and 6th-grade Student – All Student Council forms turn into office

Monday, Sept. 12th

  • Quarterly Awards 3-6th grade

    • 6th Grade             8:30 – 9:00

    • 3rd Grade             9:15 – 9:45

    • 5th Grade             10:00 – 10:30

    • 4th Grade             10:45 – 11:15

  • VAPA 4th and Kinder until 1:00
