Relay for Life- Collecting Dimes

Dear McMillin Family,

Have you or anyone you know ever been affected by cancer?

We all know someone who has been touched by cancer, someone who is fighting the battle now, or who has lost the battle to this disease.

There is something amazing happening in our community! It’s Relay for Life and you can be a part of this wonderful event. If you have ever wondered how you can make a difference, then please join us in our efforts to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Did you know that a 12oz water bottle holds $100 worth of dimes?

McMillin Elementary will be collecting dimes over a two-week period and donating the proceeds to the American Cancer Society for Cancer Research.

To participate, start collecting dimes and send them with your child to be deposited in the special classroom water bottles that the PTA is providing to each class.

The fundraising event will be held at McMillin Elementary from February 1, 2017 through February 14, 2017.

Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated. The American Cancer Society would not be successful without the help of generous donors and volunteers. Because of you, they will be able to help thousands of people across the globe with life-saving cancer research studies, crucial patient care programs, and education and prevention initiatives. That’s why it’s so important to get involved in Relay For Life and fundraise-because when you do, you help save lives.

Every dime counts!

Together We Can Make a Difference,

McMillin PTA
