Help McMillin add a splash of color to our playground

On Saturday, October 20th from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, we need adult volunteers to help us add a color, shapes, and numbers to our blacktop. The color and numbers will not only be more inviting for students but will also offer many more games that they can play.

Topic: A Beautiful Mindfield: Exploring Technology Addiction in K-8

In A Beautiful Mindfield, unique cognitive and socio-emotional characteristics serve as a foundation for the exploration of technology addiction among children and young adults, including the gifted and talented learner. Technology addiction is defined and compelling issues in the field most relevant for parents are presented. Practical strategies and resources for supporting those living with technology addiction are provided.

2nd Annual McMillin Camp Out Friday, October 19th!

Good Evening McMillin Families,

The PTA is happy to announce that the 2nd Annual McMillin Family Campout will be held Friday, 10/19 6pm – Saturday, 10/20 9am.  Registration fees are $20 per family or $5 per person, forms are available at http://goo.gl/RGncLy.  Cash or checks accepted, checks should be made out to McMillin PTA.  Forms can be returned to the PTA box in the McMillin office, to your student’s teacher, or by email to mcmillin.pta.volunteer@gmail.com. A $5 late fee will be incurred after 10/17.
