Please join me in congratulating Ms. Patty as she was recognized at the district last week as our Classified Employee of the Year at McMillin! Thank you Ms Patty for all you do! Continuing Enrollment

Just a friendly reminder that Continued Enrollment for SY 25/26 will be open on Tuesday May 27th. Please make sure to re-enroll your student(s) for next school year. You will be receiving an email with DONOTREPLY from the district/Powerschool. Please click on the link, log into your account, verify that all your student(s) information is correct. If any changes need to be updated, please do so at this time. Once all is confirmed, please submit your enrollment. Proof of residency can be submitted on the platform of the enrollment or in the front office. We will not take any proof of residency with past due balance and all due dates on your proof of residency needs to be on May 27th or after.

To secure your spot for your student(s) at McMillin please submit your re-enrollment between Tuesday May 27th- Friday June 6th–spots are filling up quickly. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the front office. Solo un recordatorio amistoso que la Inscripción Continua para el Año Escolar 25/26 estará abierta el Martes 27 de mayo. Por favor, asegúrese de reinscribir a su(s) estudiante(s) para el próximo año escolar. Recibirá un correo electrónico con DONOTREPLY del distrito/Powerschool. Haga clic en el enlace, inicie sesión en su cuenta, verifique que toda la información de su(s) estudiante(s) sea correcta. Si necesita actualizar algún cambio, hágalo en este momento. Drop Off and Pick Up Line

In an effort to make our drop off and pick up line efficient and reduce traffic, we remind families to please remain in their cars at drop off and to pull forward once your child is walking toward to the school. Helping your child gather his or her belongings before you get to the front so they can exit your vehicle independently and quickly will also help our lines keep moving. The bus loop and red curbs are not a drop off zone. Thank you for your cooperation as we try to keep our traffic to a minimum for everyone.   En un esfuerzo por hacer que nuestra línea de entrega y recogida sea eficiente y reducir el tráfico, les recordamos a las familias que permanezcan en sus autos al dejar y que se detengan hacia adelante una vez que su hijo camine hacia la escuela. Ayudar a su hijo a recoger sus pertenencias antes de que usted llegue al frente para que pueda salir de su vehículo de forma independiente y rápida también ayudará a que nuestras líneas sigan moviéndose. El circuito de autobuses y los bordillos rojos no son una zona de descenso. Gracias por su cooperación, ya que intentamos mantener nuestro tráfico al mínimo para todos.

Attendance Update

Did you know that missing 18 days in a school year is considered chronically absent? This not only impacts students’ academic wellbeing, but also their social relationships with their peers. McMillin’s Chronic Absenteeism Rate for the 23-24 school year was 12%. We dropped an outstanding 6% from the year prior! We’d like to continue that trend and our chronic absenteeism goal for this year is 8%. ¿Sabías que faltas 18 días en un año escolar se considera ausencia crónica? Esto no solo impacta en el bienestar académico de los estudiantes, sino también en sus relaciones sociales con sus compañeros. La tasa de ausentismo crónico de McMillin para el año escolar 23-24 fue del 12%. ¡Perdimos un 6% con respecto al año anterior! Nos gustaría continuar con esa tendencia y nuestro objetivo de ausentismo crónico para este año es del 8%.
