Spirit Week

Attendance Update

Did you know that missing 18 days in a school year is considered chronically absent? This not only impacts students’ academic wellbeing, but also their social relationships with their peers. McMillin’s Chronic Absenteeism Rate for the 23-24 school year was 12%. We dropped an outstanding 6% from the year prior! We’d like to continue that trend and our chronic absenteeism goal for this year is 8%.

Here’s our attendance from last week. Our goal is to reach 98% attendance overall each week. We miss you when you’re out!

Last Week of School

Dear Families,

As we embark on the much-awaited summer break, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support throughout the school year. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences for our students.

As we transition into the summer break, I encourage you to cherish this time with your children, engage in fun and educational activities, and create lasting memories together. Remember to stay safe, take care of one another, and embrace the joy that comes with the summer season.

Although our hallways may be quiet during the break, the spirit of our school community remains strong. I look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting year ahead.

Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating summer break!

Warm regards,

Dr. Sturges
