Welcome to McMillin Elementary!
If I haven’t had the chance to meet you yet, my name is Jorge Mora your school principal. I’ve been fortunate to be at McMillin for the last 5 years and I’m confident you’ll agree with me when I say McMillin is an AWESOME school! At McMillin we have an amazing group of teachers and staff that are committed to providing your children with a quality education, where they are safe and respected. Another feature that makes McMillin special is our wonderful community of parents and supporters. Through the efforts of our volunteers we have been able to provide students with a fantastic school full of opportunity and fun! I hope you join our community, get involved and become an active member of the McMillin School Family!
Tomorrow July 23, 2015 starting at 8:15 am the 2014-15 school year will begin. Class list will be posted and staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Please walk your child to their classroom and feel free to stay until the teacher opens the door, ready to begin the day. Don’t forget your phone/camera and take as many pics and videos as you’d like, however we respectfully ask that after you give that last hug to your child you proceed to exit the campus. This will minimize any stress or anxiety (for you and the child)…haha. Don’t forget tomorrow will be a minimum day with 1st thru 6th graders being dismissed at 1:15 pm.
Some important notes:
- Students will not be switched classrooms until after the first 10 days of class. If you are certain you want your child changed into another class, feel free to make an appointment with me so we can discuss the best options for your child.
- Traffic is always difficult, especially for this first week with many parents wanting to park and walk their children to class. Please show courtesy and patience and please follow all traffic rules. Also please be courteous to our neighbors by not blocking their driveways.
- Don’t forget to download our school app. Go to your app store and search McMillin Elementary. This is a great way to keep up to date with everything happening at McMillin
