McMillin is committed to the whole child, academic and social/emotional learning. Our Social/Emotional Team (we need a cool name) has decided on three things to drive our work together next year. Click on the links and find out a little more about each program.
- Peaceful Playground: We purchased the new Peaceful Playground curriculum and want to get it all set up for our 2018-19 school year. We may need some help panting the blacktop over summer break.
- Sanford Harmony: Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum
- Welcoming Schools: Creating inclusive spaces for all students.
McMillin Garden: I was thinking that we could make a school garden with benches and raised beds in the middle of the quads at McMillin. These areas get enough sun and it would be a nice place to sit and learn. I am looking for interested teachers and parents to get this garden started.
