Spring Carnival

Our PTA is excited to announce that we are planning our Spring Carnival. It has been a couple of years and we would love to see our families all on campus again for some fun. We need your help to plan. If you would like to get involved and help us plan for this big outdoor event tentatively scheduled for May 20th, please join us at the outside lunch area behind the office at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 5th.

State and Local Measures Testing

Here is McMillin’s calendar for our state and Local Measures testing.

Local Measures (LM) assessments are for all of our district students.

  • Kinder – 6th grade will take an iReady assessment for math.
  • 3rd – 6th grade will take an Achieve 3000 Level Set assessment for Reading.

CAASPP- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress is for all students in the state of California.

  • 3rd – 6th grade will take English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
  • 5th-grade will take an additional science test.

McMillin TESTING Calendar 2022

COVID test kits were distributed the last week of quarter 3. We ask that you please use this test Sunday, April 3 before returning to school.

While there is no statewide testing mandate for students returning to school, we highly encourage you to use the kits to test your children for COVID-19 before returning from the spring break on April 4, 2022, to help keep in-person school safe for everyone.

Instructions are available by video and as an insert in the box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBt_H4Gc-rU

Positive tests can be reported by using THIS LINK

COVID testing on-site for registered students.

Testing will occur every Tuesday. If you have consented to test at a COVID kiosk at Eastlake Elementary, it is also giving consent to testing at school. If you have registered your child and they have not been tested, it means there was either a mistake with the birth date, or you put a parent’s name where the child’s name must be in the form. Simply re-register using the link below.

Parking

Please use the blacktop after school to pick up students. This was created to get cars off of Santa Cora Ave. Yes, it will take around 10-15 minutes to pick up your child, so plan on that.

The condo complex across the street from McMillin has called me to complain about parents going into their complex to pick up students. They will start ticketing and using security to stop the traffic into their complex. Please be kind to our neighbors.

Our parking lot is for parents/guardians picking up their kinder, TK, and SDC students only. These students need to be picked up at the classroom door so please let them park.
