This Week at McMillin – November 18th – 22nd

Traffic Safety at McMillin

Safety is always of concern for our students at McMillin and we need the help of our community!  Our neighborhood was designed as a walking community.  However, the current reality is that many of our families drop off and pick up their students by car.  As such, our parking lot in front of the school and back neighborhood gets very congested in the mornings and afternoons.  We have been working with CVPD and made some adjustments that are within our control.  We have also reached out to the City of Chula Vista for input as well.  Our staff and Safety Patrol are trying to support daily.  We wish that we can widen the roads, but that is not possible, unfortunately.

Please help us by adhering to traffic patterns, moving forward so that more cars can pull in and cooperate with our staff and Safety Patrol members.  In the back, please keep our neighbors in mind as driveways are often blocked and they cannot leave or return to their homes.  Also, please use the crosswalks at all times for safety.

If we all work together, we can keep McMillin as safe as possible for all of our students.  Thank you!

Thanksgiving Break

Just a reminder that school is closed November 25th through November 29th.
