The McMillin PTA invites you to a Family Game Night! Games will be available to play, feel free to bring a game to play and share with friends, and bring your own snacks as well! Popcorn and water will provided by the PTA. Hope to see you there!
Last week, the school had its Beagle Bolt Jog-a-Thon Kick-Off Assembly! By now, your child should have received a pink pack with an envelope attached to it containing all the information.
What is the Beagle Bolt?
The Beagle Bolt is a run that we host to raise money for our school. It has been the largest annual fundraiser for the past 4 years. ALL the money collected goes directly back to each grade level and each student! It pays for field trips, classroom supplies, books, and so so so much more!
You can register at pledgestar.com/mcmillin and follow the quick and simple steps. It will allow you to ask your family and friends for donations. Cash and check donations (payable to McMillin PTA) are also gratefully accepted.
Every child who raises $25 or more will automatically receive a paw print draw string bag, a paw print squishy toy, and a paw print rubber bracelet.
Every child who raises $200 or more will be part of a Pizza Party with their teacher, the principal, and the assistant principal during their normal lunch time.
The top grade level earner will receive a drawstring bag full of school supplies and a surprise gift card.
And..for every $25 raised, a student will receive a raffle ticket. The prizes this year include: A Nintendo Switch, 4 Lego Land tickets, a laptop computer, wireless head phones, a fire tablet, and many many gift cards!

We will be having our Beagle Bolt kick off Assembly this Wednesday, August 21st! We are excited for the upcoming annual jog-a-thon. Not only will your child help raise money for our school, but they will also get a chance to earn raffle tickets and a chance to win amazing prizes. We can’t wait to share the prizes your child has the opportunity to win this year!
Please join us for family event at the book fair on Wednesday, August 21st, 5:30 – 7 pm. Dress up like your favorite book character, there will be activities, giveaways, and lots of great books!
The Scholastic Book Fair is August 19-23. The PTA is in need of volunteers to help sell books, restock merchandise, direct customers, etc. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up at http://bit.ly/3351AGP.
American Sign Language Club will begin next Thursday, August 15th in Ms. Carson’s room (403 on the kindergarten playground). ASL Club runs from 2:45-3:45 each Thursday and is offered to 2nd-6th grade students and families. It is also open to kindergarten and first grade students who come with a parent or adult chaperone.
ASL Club costs nothing, but students gain exposure to another language and appreciation for diversity and Deaf culture! We hope to see you there on Thursday, August 15th!
