Principal

I could not be more overjoyed to introduce myself as the Principal of McMillin Elementary. I can assure you that I share this community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them with a high-quality education. I am honored to serve as your Principal and I can’t wait to spend the year ahead with you all.

My career began as a special education teacher.I’ve also served as a middle and high school assistant principal and as a Director II of Special Education. My passion lies in ensuring EVERY student feels respected, valued and appreciated and gets exactly what they need to be successful in school.

The connection between home and school is necessary for the success of our children. There are many ways for you to be involved in your child’s education at school, and at home. Please look for blogs from me sharing upcoming events and tips for working with your child at home.

Please know that my door is always open and that creating a safe and nurturing school climate for your child is my top priority.

Sincerely,

Savannah Sturges, Principal

  1. Is there pre and post care available?
The last two school districts offered something from 6:30am to 6:30pm or something around that time frame for kids to do homework while parents are at work.
I am interested in enrolling my two daughters in this type program.
    Thank you
