Before School- Traffic and Running Club

Hi Parents,

We have gotten a few complains about people parking illegally in the back of the school, blocking the crosswalk, and not observing traffic signs.  We wanted to give you all a heads up that our community resource officer will be monitoring the back of the school periodically and possibly issuing citations.

If you walk your child into school in the morning, you may have noticed that first and second grade students are participating in a running club from 7:45-8:10.  All first and second grade students have a card that is scanned to keep track of how many laps they are running.  The plan was to start small, work out the kinks, and then include all students who wish to participate grade 1-6. We will begin to invite other grade levels soon.

In order to accommodate all students who wish to participate in the running club, we need to ask parents to please walk around the track when bringing their children into school.  To avoid students who are running laps, families just need to walk straight when they enter the gate and not veer to the left.

Thank you,
