Parent/Teacher Conferences

We are going into our Quarter 1 Parent/Teacher Conferences. Minimum Days start this Thursday, Sept. 13 and continue until Sept. 20th.

This year our parent-teacher conferences are different.  Instead of a report card, you will receive a conference form. This form is meant to facilitate and encourage two-way communication between teachers and parents.  This is a perfect opportunity for your child’s teacher to learn from you about how your child works at home and specific strategies that motivate your child to do their best.

You will notice a change in how your child’s progress is being reported to you.  It will highlight the preliminary assessment information that has been collected so far this school year.  This will help create goals and next steps for your child this school year.  Come equipped with information on your child’s strengths and areas where you would like to see your child grow.

School Site Council Meeting 9/12/18 – Safety Plan Review

Dear McMillin Families,

Our School Safety Plan is reviewed once a year and voted on by our School Site Council for approval.  A draft of the plan can be reviewed with Mrs. Sutton in the office prior to next week’s meet.  The School Site Council Meeting is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 3pm in the school library.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Sutton, our Associate Principal.

McMillin Beagle Bolt Fundraiser

Dear McMillin Community,

We are off to a solid start in our annual Beagle Bolt Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser.  As of Friday, August 31, $7,472 has been raised.  Yeah!

But we still have so much more to go.  Please register at pledgestar.com/mcmillin to safely send out e-mails, requesting donations.

You can also donate cash or checks (made out to McMillin PTA) as well.

The incredible part about our particular fundraiser is that every dollar raised goes directly back to our students.  There is no company running this and taking a percentage.  Your fabulous McMillin teachers are behind this endeavor.

The actual Jog-a-Thon and last day of this fundraiser is Friday, September 14.

Questions?  Please contact nora.martinez@cvesd.org for anything at all.
