District Virtual Welcome Night – August 27 from 6-7 p.m

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) and our Superintendent Dr. Escobedo will welcome all families back to our “District Opening Virtual Welcome Night” later this week. Join us on Thursday, August 27 from 6-7 p.m. as Superintendent Francisco Escobedo, Ed.D., hosts our District Opening Virtual Welcome Night! The event helps kick off the new school year online—in keeping with the distance learning format in our schools. The event will occur as a Microsoft “Teams Live” event and parents/guardians will be able to submit questions in real-time. Click here on Thursday evening to tune in. McMillin Virtual Welcome Night 
We will be hosting an information Parent night on Friday, August 28th at 4:00 pm. We would like to introduce ourselves, go over a few ideas for Distance Learning, and Q/A. https://rb.gy/jjjk5t

BEEP BEEP and GREET Parades for Grade Level Supplies:

We will be distributing your child’s curriculum and supplies by a car in a drive-by fashion. Please drive into the school bus loop with a large paper indicating your child’s name and teacher. You will be directed to your child’s teachers’ table. Pop your trunk and we will put your child’s supplies in the trunk. Please do not ask questions at this time. You can email the office or teacher if you have any questions.

Friday 8/28: 

  • 6th Grade: 8:00-9:00 am
  • 4th Grade: 9-10:30 am
  • 3rd Grade: 10:30-12 pm

Monday 8/31:

  • Kinder-1:00-3:00 pm Cancelled until further notice. We would like to have our new Kinders learn about using their computer as a tool for the first week. We will let you know when it will be rescheduled.
  • 1st – 1:00-3:00 pm

Tuesday 9/1:

  • 2nd/TK – 1:30-3:00 pm

Wednesday 9/2:

  • 5th Grade– 1:30-3:00 pm

Friday 9/4:

  •  All Grade levels – 2:00-3:00 pm

Virtual Curriculum/Back to School Nights 

You will be getting a link to your child/ren back to school night later this week. We will try to record the session for you to watch at a later date if you cannot make it.

    • Kinder – Aug. 31st – 8:30 am – There will be no online instruction for students in Kindergarten on 8/31
    • TK – Aug. 31st – 10:00 am – There will be no online instruction for students in TK on 8/31
    • 1st – Sept. 3rd – 4:00 pm – Updated
    • 2nd – Aug. 31st – 5:00 pm
    • 3rd – Sept. 1st – 4:00 pm
    • 4th – Aug. 31st – 6:00 pm
    • 5th – Sept. 3rd – 4:00 pm
